CAR FIRE

This car fire came in about 1AM this morning. C-Shift Central responded on Ladder 18. Joe Tumbleson, Mark Pandanell and Kevin Dixon were assigned to the Ladder. Arson is the suspected cause and Shane Martin came out to investigate. Ladder 18's crew was on scene for about 2 hours. The vehicle was a Ford Explorer..

The vehicle was fully involved upon arrival
	The intense white is from the magnesium parts on the vehicle burning. The main fire is already out and it takes a large quantity of water to put out a magnesium fire. Direct water stream will only spread it.
Kevin cools down any remaining hotspots	The vehicle was a complete loss
