RUBBERNECKING
January 19, 2001

Below are pictures showing 3 of the 4 vehicles involved in a chain collision. What started out as a very minor 2 car Accident in the Eastbound lane of 1765 and 31st Street ended up causing this chain collision due to rubbernecking. A full size Chevolet Pick-up traveling Westbound slowed down to look at the wreck in the Eastbound lane and was hit from behind by the white Nissan shown on the wrecker bed. The Nissan was then rear-ended by an 85 Fiero which was rear-ended by a Sunbird.

Another example of unsafe driving practices from driving to close to the vehicle in front of you, unsafe speeds
and not paying attention.
