KEYSTONE SPOILER

I ordered this from DERBY CITY SPOILERS for $95.00 shipped. It was already color matched.

This was a pretty simple install. Just make sure you take your time and line everything up. It took me about 30 minutes to do by myself.

Mounting Tabs to locate holes for driling.

Once spoiler is in place where you want it, you tape the tabs down real good. using the blue painters tape is best. It is easier to remove later.

I used a heat gun to bend the tabs down and under. that way they would not try to bow upwards once I removed the spoiler. Plus they are not under pressure and pulling against the tape.

Once the spoiler is removed, you can use a 1/8" drill bit to drill out the pilot holes.

I went ahead and added some more tape before drilling to make sure the tabs do not move. you will drill all the way through.

Once holes are drilled, remove tabs

After drilling again with the 1/4' dill bit, I painted oil base Rustoleum on the top, bottom and inside holes to seal the bare metal.
Then used a heat gun to fast dry it.

Then after I dried it, I dabbed on 100% silicon on top.

Then did the bottom as well.

Applied the mounting gaskets to holes on top.

Bolting it on took a little time. I couldn't use the locking washers that come with it as they made the bolts to short to thread in.
I am changing all of them out to stainless anyway, so I will get longer ones to accomadate locking washers.
Take your time when bolting on as you have to line it all up just right and you do not want to cross thread any of it.

I have also seen where you can use a good 3M double sided tape to mount these. Not sure i would want to go that route and rely on it by itself.
But I was thinking of when I change over to the stainless bolts, I might also use the 3M tape as a backup.
