My father, Tom Farley Sr was a San Antonio Police Officer assigned to the ID unit in 1947. He and other SAPD Officers went to Texas City to assist with the recovery and identification of the deceased. I attached several photos and the Emergency Order from Mayor Traham dated 04-18-1947. My father passed away in 1998, but know he always remembered his trip to Texas City in 1947.
